Gillian McCullough carried out PhD research at the Northern Ireland Bio Engineering Centre.

Gillian along with Eric McAdams and Peter O'Hare invented a "Smart Bandage" which is being commercialised by Impedimap Technologies. An electrode array system built into a bandage builds up a map of wounds that is then transmitted to a specially developed monitor. The system can be used to provide instant, accurate feedback on venous leg ulcers, pressure sores, diabetic ulcers and sores, burns, surgical wounds and skin grafts – all without removing the dressing.

MCTOS

In 2001 Gillian was involved in the testing and operation of MCTOS (Mind Control Tool Operated System) produced by Technos, Japan.
